Panagbenga is a Kankanaey word that means "blossoming of flowers," because during the month of February, the flowers from Benguet are in their season of Blooming. The highlights of the festival are the Street Dancing Parade and the Grand Flower Float Parade. Many of the cultural practices in Baguio City are often portrayed in the Panagbenga celebration especially during the street dancing and float parades.
