You need no Pumpkin to make a Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween.Paper Jack-O-Lantern is a simple craft that are really fun for everybody to get a spooky and fun Halloween. I found a way to make an easy, mess free and COST FREE craft to experience fun in making a Jack-O-Lantern. Reminder: Kids can create all of these crafts with the help of an adult and some safety scissors.

Materials:
  • Glue
  • Cellotape
  • Scissors
  • Used gift tissue
  • Craft Knife (if available)
  • Cancdles
  • Used boxes or card boards
  • Pens and markers

Procedures:
1. If you are using a box, detach the connecting ends so you can spread it.  Since I don't have a box, I made use of an old card board and resembled it into a box as shown in the picture.  Each fold/side of the box will serve as a window.

2. Decorate a Halloween template on each side of the box. A bold image with simple lines and graphic appeal will work the best.
Outline the stencil and cut it with scissors. If available, you can use craft knife for precise cutting.

3. Do this on four sides of the box.

4. At the other side of the card board, paste the old gift tissue and finish it with the rest of the other sides.

5. Connect the ends of the box/ card board to form a box as it is in its original form.

6. Close the bottom part of the box  using a cello tape or a glue.

7. Now, you have a paper Jack-O-Lantern perfect for Halloween. Position the candle inside the lantern to have the image pop out.

Turn off the lights. Now, you have a Jack-O-Lantern made from paper. :) Hope this will be a perfect craft to set a spooky Halloween night.

Be extra careful when making paper lanterns for they may cause fire when not properly attended. It is best if the candle is secured with a glass container to avoid fire. Hope you enjoyed and had fun!
