The yearly Flower Festival in Baguio City locally known as Panagbenga 2013 divulged a colorful procession of the gigantic floats made of flowers. This was another blow to our tourism industry as thousand of visitors go to Baguio City to witness this vibrant celebration. Panagbenga is a Kankanaey word that means "blossoming of flowers," because during the month of February, the flowers from Benguet are in their season of Blooming. Many of the cultural practices in Baguio City are often portrayed in the Panagbenga celebration especially during the street dancing and float parades.

It’s festival time in Makati as they celebrate the official festival of the city, the Caracol Festival. Caracol 2013 was held last February 24, 2013 at the Circuit Makati in Barangay Caramona. The event was organized by the Makati's Museum and Cultural Affairs, an arm of the Makati's Local Government as a tribute to the mother nature. Environment and animal advocates will surely love to see the Caracol dancers as they vie for the championship in street dance competition performing with their colorful costumes and graceful dance steps.

The streets of the oldest Chinatown in the whole world are filled with people to join the celebration of the most important traditional Chinese holiday, the Chinese New Year or traditionally known as the Spring Festival. It is in Binondo where you can find one of the best celebrations of the first day of the Lunar New Year in the Philippines as it became the major economic and cultural center of Chinese in the country after they established it in 1594. This 2013, Chinese New Year falls on Sunday, February 10.
