National Commission For Culture And The Arts

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is the overall policy making body, coordinating and grants giving for the preservation, development and promotion of Philippine arts and culture; an executing agency for the policies it formulates; and task to administering the National Endowment Fund for Culture and the Arts (NEFCA), fund exclusively for the implementation of culture and arts program in line with the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan for Culture and the Arts. 

The Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika at Anyo (LIRA), an organization of poets writing in Filipino, and the Office of Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim will spearhead the Francisco Balagtas Day celebration on April 2, 2012, 7:00 a.m., at the poet’s shrine in Beata Street, Pandacan.

My Lily Paper Flower is just an experiment. I just had an idea of twirling the petals and arrange it together to make a beautiful flower. All materials I used are can be found easily. Using an old craft paper, I made a flower  that is perfect for any occasion like weddings, debuts and even make it as a home decoration. 

On the 7th year of the Virgin Labfest, Bakit Walang Nagtatagpo sa Philcoa Oberpas by Carlo Pacolor Garcia was again a hit, a comedy protraying the different characters of people that occupy the Philcoa overpass. 

Panagbenga is a Kankanaey word that means "blossoming of flowers,"  because it is during the month of February that the flowers from Benguet are in their season of Blooming . Aside from the colorful Street Dancing Parade, the highly-anticipated part during the Panagbenga Festival is Grand Flower Float Parade which is one of the highlights of Baguio's annual flower festival. Thousands of local and foreign visitors enjoyed witnessing beautiful floats made up of millions of vibrant flowers.
