Dubbed as the "Mother of all Philippine Fiestas", Aliwan Festival is an annual event recognized to be the gatherings of different festivals in the Philippines that unites religion, culture, and tradition. The participants in this big festivity aim to promote their respective regions by presenting colorful traditional dances through the street dance and float parade competition. Aliwan is a Tagalog word for "entertainment" or "amusement" which is the main goal of the celebration.
Organized by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) together with Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the cities of Manila and Pasay, Aliwan Festival will once again gather all the best festivals across the country this coming April 11-13, 2013.
The celebration will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines to unveil the talents of Filipinos through the street dance competition promoting the vibrant culture and heritage of the Philippines.
