What happens when the country’s go-to place for premium coffee and tea hosts an art exhibit featuring the works of a Philippine photography icon?

Gathering photography and art enthusiasts in one venue to celebrate their passion, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® holds “Brewfinder: Photography Enthusiasm Over Coffee by CBTL™” from May 30-June 5, 2012 at the Ground Floor of Greenbelt 5. The week-long event serves as a venue to sample and purchase CBTL™, the country’s first single serve beverage system, and also gives the public a first look at the latest works of photographer Tom Epperson, the first Manila-based photographer to get invited to exhibit at the Chelsea Gallery in New York.

“This event is part of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®’s commitment to enrich different kinds of passions and interests,” said Walden Chu, President of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Philippines. “For Brewfinder, we want to bring together people who appreciate premium coffee and tea and brilliant photography. CBTL™ is an innovative system and Tom Epperson is such a unique artist, so us coming together in one venue is a perfect fit.”

To formally launch the event, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® hosted a cocktail reception on May 30, 2012. Guests enjoyed The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® specialty drinks and treats, and had a rare chance to mingle with Tom and ask him questions regarding his works. A set composed of six images, the exhibit draws inspiration from Tom’s interest in dealing with unpredictable objects. It also highlights his mastery in working with any kind of subject.

“Lately, I have been working with mediums that are basically uncontrollable—a lot is left up to serendipity,” Tom shared. “I like the idea of surprise, it reminds me of going into the darkroom in the days of analog and watching a print develop for the first time; it was magic. This is the same feeling I get when working with smoke.” “Brewfinder: Photography Enthusiasm Over Coffee by CBTL™” is the first of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®’s Taste Series, a multi-part pocket event series that highlights CBTL™. Combining the finest Italian technology and design perfected by CAFFITALY SYSTEM, CBTL™ raises the bar for coffee and tea aficionados by bringing the distinct The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® café experience into your home.

During the Taste Series, the public may avail of the special CBTL™ Single Serve Beverage System set for only P14,950. The set – which is valued at P25,000 – includes a CBTL™ Machine, a CBTL™ Milk Frother, a CBTL™ Sampler Pack consisting of 12 assorted capsules, and 10 CBTL™ Premium Coupons.

Dubbed as the future of coffee and tea, CBTL™ makes it possible for anyone to enjoy more than 70 varieties of their favorite The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® specialty drinks, including four brewed coffees (House, Decaf House, Viennese, and French), four espresso variants (Italian, Premium, Premium Decaf, and Continental), and four of The Coffee Bean& Tea Leaf®’s top-selling tea blends (English Breakfast, Moroccan Mint, Chai, and Tropical Passion), at the comfort of their own home and with the touch of a button.

“Our customers want the same café experience beyond the time they spend in our stores, and we want to make sure that we give it to them while staying true to everything that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® stands for,” shared Walden. “The same flavor, taste and consistency that you expect from any hot drink you purchase from our stores are what you get from the machine. One perfect cup, with just a single push of a button.”

Nice of coffee bean to be hosting Art Exhibit. I usually pass by events like this in Gbelt. I also love Coffee Bean's coffee.

What a great combination of coffee + art! I've been a huge fan of CBTL, I love that they have open house events (free drinks occasionally) and they hold talks and symposiums/exhibits such as this.
