Archi[types/text] 2013, the flagship project of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ (NCCA) National Committee on Architecture and Allied Arts, will once again, on its fourth year, showcase Philippine Architecture and the production space in the country. THE NATIONAL Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) will hold the fifth installment of Cinema Rehiyon, the flagship project of the Cinema Committee of the NCCA’s Subcommission on the Arts spearheaded by Dr. Mike Rapatan, in the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) from February 5 to 8, 2013. The whole month of February of every year, the Philippines celebrates the National Arts Month (NAM). Since 1991, when Presidential Proclamation 683 was signed declaring February as National Arts Month, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the country’s prime agency for the arts and culture, has been spearheading its celebrating, initially with activities centering around the National Capital Region until they spread out to the regions. Now, NAM activities are being held all over the country. It's been a long time since I spent my weekend working with a friend on a photoshoot. This was something special since we are both working with our own products. Chantielle after finishing her professional make up course had the chance to exhibit it on Sandy's for this shoot. This was also a big opportunity to introduce our newly launched fashion accessory shop since it sponsored the accessories used by the model during the shoot. As our model, Sandy's gorgeousness and style combined with her sophisticated personality made taking pictures with her so much fun! It was fun running around that day and just giggling and goofing off together!
A group of artists in Manila calling themselves as "Gerilyas" painted an image of Andres Bonifacio with other Katipuneros waving the KKK (Kataastaasang Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng Bayan) flag, which shows how they hardly fought for the Philippine independence over the Spanish colonial. It also aims of giving the place a new look, from wall full of vandalism into a memorable landmark that gives tribute to our national hero. This mural is located at Philcoa overpass in Quezon City.
Life under the sea is such a mystery to most of us. For me, it is a dream to experience the life in the magical world under. And always wondering how it is like to be under the sea led me to my wonderful experience in Manila Ocean Park (MOP).
