The venue was filled with bustling people to witness one-of-a-kind pyromusical show from the leading fireworks manufacturers all around the world as they compete to the 4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition. The first night of the event staged two spectacular fireworks displays from Japan and Finland. The opening of the event was held last February 16, 2013 at the Seaside Boulevard in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
The sky was painted with never-seen-before spectacle of lights as Japan's Tamaya Kitahara showcased their exceptional creativity in pyrotechnics. Japan dubbed their show as Tradedge - “When the Tradition meets the Edge.” Not only combining "The 1000 Year Japanese Tradition" and "The World's Newest Trend," they are here to express the beautiful phenomenon occurred from the fusion.
Finland's Oy Payroman brought to light their inventiveness when it comes to pyrotechnics. The theme of their exhibit was "The Score", synchronized with music by a Finnish metal band Nightwish that are mixtures of gothic metal riffs combined with movie style classical voices. You can feel the rhythm of the show as the fireworks effects follow the drama of the music.
