For so long, creating and playing paper dolls became a simple and fun activity for children especially in a rainy day. Which made me to play with my cousin as my living doll and dressed her with papers. Using newspapers and magazines, glues and tapes, we came up into a small project that tested our creativity and resourcefulness.

The bloom of paper clothing started on year 1960's in US. But now it is becoming a trend again which many fashion designers reinvent the use of paper in their creations. Paper has become a famous material of choice of many artists for its manipulative nature. Also it is eco-friendly which inspired me to do this dress. The photoshoot was done during the typhoon Bebang in the Philippines inside our house. This will remind us that we can help the nature by making something useful out of our waste materials. Recycle!

"Read My Dress" does not literally says to read what is written on the dress. It says that we should keep our eyes open to our environment! Helping our nature in artistic way is kinda challenging but fun!

Let's make Recycling artistic and fashionable!

That is a nice looking dress and model.but I don't think somebody will go out dressed with bunch of papers especially during typhoon Bebang.

This is a good idea to recycle paper. I guess, it would be awesome if there's a treatment that strengthens the fiber of a paper, so that the dress will last longer, and could be re-used... Nice blog! =)

This is awesome. I saw one artist here in Israel who ran a fashion show a few months ago. They had gowns made of plastic bottles, papers, plastic bags, etc. etc. This is just awesome. Kudos to you.
