The top bloggers of Singapore once again met for the Singapore Blog Awards 2012 last July 21, 2012 at Singapore Food Trail at Singapore Flyer. The SBA celebrated its 5th year in a very different way. Guests attended the awarding ceremony in their superhero costumes in line with this year's "Super Bloggers, Attack!" theme.
The Singapore Blog Awards is an annual event organized by omy.sg to give recognition to "tireless "new age wordsmith" who devote much time and energy in maintaining informative, regularly updated and innovative blogs, often out of interest rather than for personal gains".
The Awarding
After the online voting and the final judging has been done, finally the time has come to unveil the winners of the Singapore Blog Awards 2012. I am fortunate to be invited as an international blogger to witness the awarding ceremony of the best bloggers in Singapore.
The Singapore Blog Awards 2012 had announced the winners in 10 Main Award Categories, 2 Celebrity Categories, and 3 Special Categories. Here are the winners on each category:

This year, the Singapore Blog Awards returns with more exciting events and prizes. The winners received prizes from the Minister of Education, Mr. Heng Swee Keat who was the Guest-of-honor. In addition, the winning bloggers also received trophies especially designed by Singapore Cultural Medallion artist Mr. Tan Swie Hian. They were also given a privilege trip to Macau to witness and experience the annual International Fireworks Festival, inclusive of air tickets and accommodation and other prizes.
As part of the 5th year celebration of the SBA, five "Super Bloggers" who shared outstanding blogs was given a recognition. Also 15 international bloggers were invited to Singapore to attend the ceremony. Five bloggers are from the Philippines, four are from Hong Kong and Six are fro Malaysia.

The Experience
After the awarding, bloggers and guests were invited to experience breathtaking views on the world's largest observation wheel, the Singapore Flyer. I absolutely enjoyed the ride because t was my first time to emprise the scenic eye-birds view of the city.

I am very grateful also to receive the SBA2012 Best Dressed Award, dressing up as The Joker. It was a fun experience to meet the bloggers from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Experiencing the SBA 2012 was just something that is awful.
