Feels like I'm in heaven after a friend of mine took me to Lestat's to load up some caffeine. Yes! It was a coffee shop but a totally different kind of coffee shop. This is a place where all the naturally artistic-inclined folks gravitate towards, from art junkies to music lovers. I was amazed with the electric collection of artworks, the comedy and song performances of the local talents. Vibey!
Lestat's Coffee Shop, located on Park Blvd in San Diego at: 4496 Park Blvd San Diego 92116, USA, is a the locals' favorite place for sandwiches, soups, teas and coffees. But more than that, this place is a creative spot for the art enthusiasts. Hang on its walls are artworks from the local artists of different concepts, sizes and media.
Just beside the coffee shop is the Lestat's West Music Venue which is part of the Lestat's Coffee House family. This is were the music lovers throw in with. This also serves as a sounding venue for many great national and local talents. That night, it was Sara Watkins who changed my life with her music. :)
It was heaven for me. That was the day I saw the 12 Jesus, the twelve series of digital imagery printed on archival canvas of artist Andrew Lucas. Something that reminded me of “Poleteismo” by the artist Mideo Cruz. But here, people celebrated it as a "form of art." No violent reactions.
