Photography became one of my outlets in my life. It is not just a hobby but more as a passion.

When my cousin established his studio, the PXvue Design Photography, I had an opportunity to practice my talents and skills. I worked there as a Photographer. I know that maybe I don't have enough knowledge about the technicalities of photography but somehow I was able to manage it by putting my own  perspective and applying what for me is art. Being a photographer is not just clicking a camera. For me, a good photography doesn't use an EYE only to capture subject, but uses a MIND for it to speak.

Before, I always wanted to have a camera. And I finally got a DSLR as a gift of my sister to me for Christmas. Then, I realized that photography is really a good kind of  art. Yes! Photography is an art. An art that captures every single moment you cherish. An art that can stop the time. An art that can speak to the world and change it with just one image.

When I started working as a photographer, I never realized how vital my role was to the people I served and worked with. Photos are not just about the subject, the composition, the rule of thirds, etc. It is all about preserving the MOMENT that you can't turn back.

Irma and Duncan's Prenuptial

Me and my team met Irma and Duncan last July, 2011 when they were looking for Photographers for their wedding. Their wedding will be held at Baras, Catanduanes, Philippines. They are planning of a simple traditional Filipino wedding. The couple were based in London so they decided to get local photographers because it is less expensive and more practical. They approached us for almost two weeks before their wedding. It was really a short span of time but both parties still had the luck to work with each other. Due to lack of time and a hectic schedule of the couple, we had a hard time planning for their prenuptial shoots.

The Concept

We thought of a theme related to their job as chefs so we did a pictorial of them cooking at their favorite place in Baras, Catanduanes, Philippines. Irma and Duncan both work in Pizza Hut in London, and that is where they met each other. Duncan and Irma were both chef. They decided to have a simple prenup shoot but full of fun. Irma wants a to see Duncan cooking in a Filipino way. We made a simple set of outdoor kitchen in their favorite place in Baras where the wedding will be held. The venue was really good that you can see the ocean spreading.

The Experience

Before the sun will set, we started shooting. We have only two hours to shoot because most of the time were consumed travelling. We did the shoot real quick, but it was not hard to work with this couple because they are really funny and friendly. Irma and Duncan are such a love couple. We had fun working with them. They always make fun of each other so we ended up the shoot laughing.

It's time to wrap up. It was really tiring but I had fun! I think it was a fulfilling job to be a Photographer not just for the sake of arts but because I had the chance to meet other people and capture their precious moments.
