But more than that is the continuous preservation of its culture and arts beyond the modern society the city has, the sole reason of the birth of the Singapore Art Museum, a state-of-the-art museum that houses the largest collection of art expressions all around the Singapore and Southeast Asia, and a lifetime opportunity for everyone to experience the works and ideas of the living artist of the region.

Kanto Artist-run Space showcased the works of eight photography enthusiasts last June 25-30, 2013. This was the only chance to witness the never-before  released photographs of Erick Cusi, Mikko Clauor, Teo Esguerra, Joven Dela Cruz, Robert Pelagio, Jameson Ong, Felix Quiogue & Jimmy Hilario using analogue cameras  exhibiting their experiments in black & whites and lomos at Kanto Artist-Run Space The Collective located at 7274 Malugay St, Makati City.

Aliwan Fiesta, the country's grandest fiesta celebrated its 11th year of showing off the vibrant heritage and culture of the Philippines through street dance competition, festival float competition and the search for the Festival Queen. Aliwan Fiesta is an annual event and recognized to be the biggest gatherings of different cultural festivals in the whole country. This year, it was held last April 11-13 at the CCP Complex, Manila. All the participants aim to promote their regions both economically and tourism-wise.

Another reason to visit Tagaytay City is the museum that houses the biggest collection of puzzles that ranges from sizes, themes, motif and art forms - the main attraction of  a bed and breakfast located at the hills of Tagaytay called The Puzzle Mansion. It has a lot more to offer than the beautiful scenery of the city. And I was destined to visit the mansion one weekend and fortunately met the owner and the title holder of the Guinness World Records' Largest Collection of Jigsaw Puzzles, Gina Gil-Lacuna.

Gina Gil-Lacuna and The Art Behind the World's Largest Jigsaw Puzzle Collection

61-year old Filipina Gina Gil Lacuna, has been awarded by the Guinness World Records as a person with the Largest Collection of Jigsaw Puzzles in any Size, Shape or Form on November 29, 2012. She beat the reigning Brazilian named Luiza Figueiredo with a collection of 500 puzzles. All of Lacuna's collections are housed at The Puzzle Mansion located at Cuadra Street, Barangay Asisan, Tagaytay and now a tourist attraction to many travelers who are visiting the city.
